Opening up a new world for the visually impaired

Roland Galarneau was an incredibly gifted man. Born with only two percent of his vision, he felt strongly that more people would read braille if it was more accessible. At a time where few resources were available for the visually impaired, Roland worked diligently in his basement workshop to make his dream a reality – and he succeeded.

Not only am I proud of the final video, I am also incredibly proud of spearheading the development of Historica Canada’s first Described Video. I worked closely with audiovisual vendors to ensure that this story centred on accessibility was truly made accessible to all.
